7 top cleaning products that will make running your business easier

Cleaning is essential for any business, but it can also be a chore. These seven top cleaning products will help make your life easier and your business cleaner. From degreasers to disinfectants, there’s a product here for every need. So don’t wait, start shopping GoKlean Products today and see how much easier cleaning can be!

1)     Industrial Degreaser – A staple for every company, this purple gem is a favorite of shop supervisors everywhere.  Whether you’re using it in your floor scrubber or cleaning your machinery and equipment, a good degreaser is safe, effective, and inexpensive for use throughout your shop area.  GoKlean's is concentrated, so a little goes a long way.  Add an automatic dilution dispenser and you’ll ensure that your team always gets the right amount, reducing waste.

2)     All Purpose Cleaner – For those times when the job calls for a kinder, gentler cleaner, reach for the All Purpose Cleaner.  Better for use indoors, and when you’re concerned that a harsher cleaner could harm the finish of your equipment. (We did a whole blog on when to use All Purpose Cleaner HERE).  Safe, effective, and environmentally friendly.

3)     Tar & Asphalt Remover – This versatile product is amazing to keep your equipment clean.  You don’t work with tar and asphalt, you say?  Well, it works great on paint overspray, too.  Our customers rave about it, and it’s now a staple in several wash bays – helping to remove everything from tree sap to asphalt (ever drive over a newly paved road?) to paint overspray.  A must for any industry with a vehicle fleet, lots of equipment, or rentals (trucks/equipment).

4)     CitraSolve – This is a citrus-based solvent, often used as a lift station degreaser, so you might wonder why I included it here.  This product is excellent as a preventative to keep your trucks – especially those hauling dirt and asphalt – clean.  By coating the bed before filling, it causes the mess you’re hauling to slide right out, leaving the truck easy to clean.  And if you’ve ever had to clean clumped dirt or asphalt out of the bed of a truck, you know what I’m talking about.  There are also excellent soap asphalt release products that are very economical for this purpose.

5)     Spray Disinfectant – Germs are everywhere and having just spent the last two years stuck in a global pandemic we know this all too well.  A good disinfectant can solve a lot of problems before they start.  The very best disinfectants are referred to as “hospital grade,” working quickly to kill germs (bacteria and viruses) and leaving no harmful residue.  However, there are a number of other excellent options that simply require a longer dwell time (the amount of time a cleaner needs to sit on the cleaned surface to do it’s job) and they often have more pleasing scents.  Ask us or your favorite cleaning chemical supplier for a recommendation for the right product for your needs.

6)     Repurposed industrial rags – Yeah…we all use rags, whether its for cleaning equipment, hands, floors, counters, or for applying things like stains, solvents, or cleaners.  Did you know that buying repurposed rags to use then throw away is more environmentally friendly and more economical that using a rag service?  Here are a few facts, thanks to our friends at Secondary Material and Recycled Textiles (SMART):

·       17 gallons of water and 66 BTUs of energy are used to create one cotton shop towel where no water or energy is used when creating a reclaimed wiper (recycled rag).

·       Contaminants found in laundry wastewater for cotton shop towels contain lead, toluene, xylene, zinc and other heavy metals. The EPA estimates that five million pounds of untreated contaminants per year flow into our waterways from laundered shop towels.

·       Most recycled wiper products are manufactured from recycled textiles that have been diverted from landfills.

Here’s a link to the entire list of compelling facts from SMART.

So next time you’re ready to buy rags, give GoKlean or your local supplier a call and find some repurposed rags for your shop.

7)     Concrete remover – Ok…this one is a little specialized.  But we see a lot of our industrial customers and small businesses find they have a need – sometimes as a one-off, but sometimes their course of regular business results in getting wet concrete on something. And once that dries, how do you get it off?  You may have not been aware that there were chemical cleaners that turn hardened concrete back into soft, uncured concrete that you can then just wash off.  So you don’t need to be a ready-mix concrete company to benefit from adding this cleaner to your cleaning rack.

GoKlean is happy to carry all of these products and more, so give our trained team a call and we’ll help you get the exact right product for you company’s toughest cleaning projects.  However, part of our mission is to educate, so even if you left this blog a little more informed and head right back over to your favorite supplier, we will consider this mission accomplished.
